Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) legislation I am required to inform you about the personal information that I collect, store & process from you.I will only ever retrieve information about you from you, and no where else. I will only collect essential data from you, including your name, gender or preferred identity, sexuality, date of birth, address, emergency contact details, telephone and email, your GP’s details and medical history including prescription medication & mental health treatments. All of this will be collected from yourself before or during our first session.This information is kept confidential, stored on a password protected computer and not shared unless legally required, or upon your request.
Confidentiality
In accordance with the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy Ethical Framework and Guidelines, I receive professional supervision for my work. This requires me to share my work with my supervisor, who is also operating under the BACP Ethical Frame Work and Guidelines. Any information I share on individuals is anonymised, thus no identifiable information is shared. In exceptional circumstances, I might find myself in a position where I need to break our confidentiality agreement. In such circumstances I must follow the Ethical Framework of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy.
