I am an experienced integrative therapist based in London, offering both in-person and online sessions. In my practice, I blend techniques from various therapeutic approaches, including existential, psychosynthesis, gestalt, transactional analysis and others, as well as insights from my extensive work experience and passion for personal growth. I tailor my methods to support your unique needs, helping you explore your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours in a safe, supportive space.
Therapy is an opportunity to foster awareness, enhance mental well-being, and achieve personal goals. Finding the right therapist is important, so I encourage you to take your time. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out— I’m here to help you find what works best.

Why me?
With a post graduate diploma (PGDip) in Psychosynthesis Counselling, a master’s degree in both Philosophy (MA) and Psychology (MSc) and being a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP), I am committed to high ethical practice, while bringing a unique blend of academic insight and practical experience. I have also studied and received qualifications in COSCA Counselling and also Creative & Performing Arts.
My previous experience includes being the bereavement officer for a hospital, in which I supported families and next of kin to navigate through their pain and loss, leading this role during the pandemic and in major incidents.
How I can help
Though I have extensive experience in working with clients with varying challenges and concerns, I often support clients' struggles with endings - whether it's a death, breakup or difficult life transition, I work with exploring how these experiences shape their lives, and how we may work through them together. I also focus on fostering authenticity, guiding you to reconnect with your true self and find acceptance. Lastly, I work with the concept of selffulness, a concept I've independently developed to describe the balance between caring for others and valuing your own needs.
I speak in more details about these here.
Where to begin
Reach out
If you have any questions or would like to discuss your needs, please feel free to email me at mikessmiththerapy@gmail.com
If you would like to arrange an initial session, please either complete the contact form below or email me directly. Please include whether you prefer face to face or online therapy, along with your preferred day and time. I shall respond to you as soon as possible with my availability.
Initial Session
The initial session is a chance for us to get to know each other and to see if we are a good fit to work together. To make this more accessible, I offer it at half price.
This session is a chance for you to ask me any questions about me or my approach, while also allowing me to understand what brings you to therapy and what you hope to achieve. It is a collaborative space for us to explore how therapy might help you.
Moving Forward
If you decide to continue after the initial session, we'll agree on a regular time and day for weekly 50 minute sessions, at £70 per session. I offer both short-term and long-term therapy, with regular reviews every 6-10 sessions to assess progress and ensure therapy is aligned with your goals.
Therapy is a collaborative, evolving process tailored to your needs, helping you achieve meaningful growth over time. More information on the sessions can be found here.
